I can't get it to build - it's a horrible mess. I think he's reorganized some
files into a second directory and now there are complaints about missing headers
and libraries that are actually present but in the wrong places.

Hmmm. For me, it wouldn't compile with the version of SDL I have...urgh!

Wow! The whole thing built in about 5 minutes for me...I had a minor linker
issue...but nothing like that. What were you compiling on? Babbages
difference engine?
