We are hoping to have a easy to modify setup. My understanding of SDL and POD will allow a complete game piece to be contained in a single pm file and independent of the rest of the setup. People would be able to modify pm file and create new units easily without knowing how the whole system works or forcing a complete recompile. The other argument is that the sooner we leave the vaporware stage and have a working game we will attract more involvement. A compiled design has a longer startup time and the benefits of speed and capabilities are not considered to be worth it compared to the loss of flexibility. Hope that adds light. ~Aaron
