  Yes, you are right, I forgot SGML!! Let us see if open
  standards SGML/XML (I believe MS has its own XML in MS Word 2000) does
  spread over and we finally get rid of MS formats.

  LyX can write DocBook format, I do not know if they are really
  current or not.
