I still have Corsica sitting here at home.  I have added memory and
patched the kernel to get around some limitations in the default kernel
that have been causing problems under load.  I have located a good
directory mirroring program and made a debian package of it.  It is on
Corsica but I would STRONGLY suggest that folks refrain from using her
right now as she is on a very slow net connection.

I am not sure if I notified the entire Leaders list of exactly what the
personal situation is here but my significant other is with child but has
some complications that require hospitalization from time to time and
close monitoring of her blood along with scrict schedules for medications.
This requires that I be available at no-notice since there is already a
7-yo in the household that now requires more of my attention and care.

In other news ... there was a nice script published on the Debian list
last night that grabs the Windows registry and backs it up.  If a user
gets a corrupted registry, they can restore it using linux and the backed
up copy. This might be useful for hardware discovery if we can parse a
copy of the backed up registry.

I am running Debian-2.0 on corsica and have kernel 2.1.89 running on
slowpoke.  john is completely offline right now but I will be building it
up as soon as I get corsica back in the noc and off this port in the local
net.

Debian is scheduled to freeze 2.0 sometime within a week allowing me to
(finally) make a snapshot.
