The idea to run  a  Debian-install-experiment  on 100% newbies is to
obtain __non-biased__ information on what's hard  for  100%  newbies
when they face the first LinUX step: the installation. 

The experiment I'm thinking of will be designed.  We'll have  a  set
of  variables  which  the  guinea-pigs  will  have  to  rate  due to
something like: time legth to  solve the problem, time spent reading
the documentation, all-or-none (if the user gets definitely stuck at
some stage), personal ratings like '0-to-5' or '0-to-10', etc.  With
that data, we may get some accurate coordinates for newbies (newbies
may range from grandma's to astronauts to neuro-surgeons ...  etc.).

    - HD partition will be a problem;
    - LILO will be another hard nut.
    
IMO, SEUL would  need  a  piece  of  proggie  like  Partition  Magic
integrated  into  the  install procedure and available as an icon on
the desktop: easy  to  run  dual boot, volume-change-on-the-fly and,
most of all: skip related LILO-noise.  Disk-Druid was an attempt  to
solve  some  of  these  problems but it would not succeed at all for
newbies.

SEUL should be  installed  and  up&running  without  going through a
bunch of docs: just like, say, a Mac System 7.x is installed.   This
is a challenge.
