what about writing such informations with html language,
and linking them to gperiodic in a flexible way ?

A way to do that is to specify a file given as an optional
argument to gperiodic, whose lines are in the format :
integer string

each of them specifying an atomic number and an html link. The link
can be local (1 "file:/usr/local/gperiodic/whatever.html") or not (for instance
1 "http://www.webelements.com/webelements/elements/text/key/H.html").
