I assume this cd is going to be updated on a regular basis so as open office
is now in version 1.0.1,  then having a more recent version than on the
distros could be an advantage,

what perhaps is needed is a stripped down version aimed at kids,  e. g
larger icons,  less menus and options but equally as powerful and
importantly file compatable.  kind of creative writer, only much better,  in
fact MS don't seen to do this anymore,  so the potential to fill a gap in
the market is there,  if others agree perhaps the openoffice developers and
or Sun may look into doing this.
