there are some issues that need to be worked out, but we agree - we
realize the importance of consistency.

LinuxPPC is doing GNOME, and i think turbolinux might be as well.
at my school, i've configured an idiotproof (though i must admit, i'm
continually proven wrong whenever i say that ;) window maker set up. the
wharf looks like:

Window Maker
Netscape
Applix

the menus look just about the same, with an exit thrown in there.
linux provides a level of configurability never seen before.
