[seul-edu] WIMS 2.30 announcement

OK I have subscribed to this list.

WIMS version 2.30 is now available from ftp://wims.unice.fr/pub/wims.
(If you don't know WIMS, take a look at
http://wims.unice.fr/~wims/wims.cgi)

Main changes:

1. Message board managers allowing inline mathematical formulas in
messages. You simply type \(sqrt(x^2+y^2)) or \(integrate(e^(1-x^2))dx),
and people will see the formulas automatically formatted as they should
be, when they read your message.

Future versions should allow you to include math computations and
plot/draw in messages as well.

2. Online created exercises now accept several answer types: numerical
or formal expressions, sets, vectors, matrices, physical quantities
(thanks to units-filter from Georges Khaznadar) (and soon chemical
equations).

3. More secure setup (to prevent students from tapping into their grades
kept on the server).
