For IMAP I would definatly reccommend CMU's Cyrus IMAP server. It's more
secure and does more cool stuff :) Namly bulletin boards -- shared folders
are very functional and with the right software are easy to manage. I
might find more info for you on that.
Also 95/98 long file names are supported in 2.0.x and later under the VFAT
file system, including FAT32. Don't know which kernel that support was
added in though.
