As a matter of fact, you might even find some LPI people here on this=20
list and capable of answering any questions. ;-)

 LPI is, like Linux itself, a vendor-independent community project whose=20
interest is to maximize Linux skills rather than to maximize revenue or=20
sell products. We are eager to work with any educational organization=20
interested in incorporating Linux education (not to mention an=20
internationally-recognized certification) into a conventional school=20
curriculum.

As an example of its committment to accessibility over maximizing=20
revenue, LPI will be doing free-cost or low-cost (ie, $20 or less per=20
exam) labs in the following locations this year:

- LinuxCorp show, S=E3o Paulo
- O'Reilly Open Source Conference, Portland
-  Linux developers show, Brmingham UK
- LinuxWorld, San Francisco, Frankfurt, Tokyo, New York, Brimingham
- Cebit, Hanover
- ComputerFest, Dayton
- TECHXNY/PCExpo, New York
- IBM PartnerWorld, New Orleans
- Real World Linux, Toronto

And the 2003 schedule isn' t complete. Tentative labs are planned for=20
Australia and China later this summer, and other locations will be added.

I had posted the original message (the description of the desktop cert)=20
to see if there was any interest in this. Does the lack of comment mean=20
that there is no interest here?
