This brings up two questions.  The first is easy to answer.  Steve, does
K12Admin support double-byte characters?  Second, is K12Admin tied to
the K-12 system of organizing education for children, or is the "K12" in
the name more of a North American shorthand for education below the
college and university level?  If it is tied to the K-12 system, what
would be needed to generalize it so that it would apply to other
educational systems?

I'd also like to encourage speakers of other languages to contribute
too.  What about a Greek translation?  How about Polish?  What of Hindi,
Japanese, and Arabic?  I'm not sure that we have fluent speakers of all
these languages on the list, but if you're fluent in a language other
than the ones we've discussed here, please consider helping translate
these programs into that tongue.

Besides K12Admin, I know that Dr Geo is written with multiple languages
in mind.  Ghislain Picard's MeK, Xem, and Lum should also support
multiple languages, as they're written in French and he's requested help
in making English versions of them.  (Here's his original message, from
the middle of last month):

We can be very useful to these projects by helping them make their
software easy to use in many different languages.

If you do try this and find that you enjoy it, please contact Barret
Dolph (the contact info is on our projects page
<http://www.seul.org/edu/projects.html>) and ask about helping with his
translation project.  Barret, if there's someone else in the project
you'd prefer they contact, just let us know.
