I will be going to El Salvador next month and check the advance of linux
there. If you recalled, I visited a Mexican school through a visit
arranged by the Guadalajara school administration and saw linux being
used by the Mexican schools.

A friend in El Salvador has an ISP business and he tells me that he has
installed many linux installations, including for the government there. 
I have asked him to see if linux can be instroduced in the schools,
which will be hard as Microsoft has given software for the schools
there. Will report on my return.
