I think the core developers have a pretty good idea of what they
want to do, and it doesn't really have to do with Linux per se
(though Linux would benefit). They have their plate full and more
ideas than they have time to implement, so I don't know if this list
has much to offer them.

However, we could go to them. The most useful things I can think
of towards our goals would be (a) isolating the features which are
pretty solidly implemented, creating a bit more focus around this
(both interface and documentation), and distributing it with all this
set up, and (b) actually trying stuff out with real kids and/or other
computer novices. I think there would be a lot of receptivity
towards attempting either of these goals.

One way or another, I feel pretty confident that Squeak will have all
the functionality to replace HyperCard/HyperStudio eventually, and
it will still run on Linux when that happens. How long it will take...?

Just for the record, I'll not that Dan Ingalls
<Dan.Ingalls@disney.com> is the buffer between the core
developers and the rest of the world, and he'd be the one to contact
first (other than maybe the Squeak mailing list,
squeak@cs.uiuc.edu)
