Re: Quiz robot
Hm, you know, perhaps quiz building might be another useful application
of sdoc. In this way, the teacher could easily build the quiz and
administer it across a lan (say within a computer lab) using simple
tools.
Upsides would include:
- being able to use any GUI editor to build the quiz
- ability to use any sufficient browser to read the quiz
- be able to have the quiz (multiple choice or mathematical) marked
automatically
- be able to monitor progress of any given student.
Some work would have to be done so that the quiz generator could choose
from a bank of questions, so that students would have different
questions to deal with each time. This would allow the teacher to
rapidly evaluate which questions / concepts the learner has not yet
fully grasped and thus need elaboration.
Downsides would include:
- needing a web server with CGI capabilities
- a way to simply add / modify / remove questions
Just a thought,
Cheers,
Pete (who is still trying to bring his second linux box to life)
