I dont know how many people are familiar with this
but there is a good spot for educational open source software to apply for
grants. Really any open source project can apply for a grant there but
educational applications seem to do a bit better then others. Tux Typing got a
grant not to long ago. Pretty interesting idea, the public at large votes on who
should get the grant.
