I have a quibble about this data structure. Not all libraries use the
Dewey Decimal System for cataloging their books. We use the Library of
Congress system here at Bloomsburg. I wouldn't be surprised it
libraries in other countries use still other systems. I propose
something like this:

<cataloging_system> DDS, LOC, some other system </cataloging_system>
<catalog_code> code in specified system </catalog_code>

Actually, the <cataloging_system> tag should probably go in an
<edu:library id="library name"> container which hasn't yet been
specified but which should probably be similar to <edu:school>. Then
each item would just have the <catalog_code> tag.
