Now I understand.  You folks were conspiring to be very quiet on
this mailing list till I went on vacation, and then you decided
to go on a great gabfest while I was gone.  I guess I'll have to
go away more often!

I want to reply to a few of the messages that were posted in the
past two weeks, which I'll do in subsequent messages; sorry for
the untimeliness of it all.  And I apologize for forwarding a
few messages to the list that Roger had already forwarded.  We
both get bounced messages, and I forwarded some before I read
down to his earlier forwards (I had almost 800 messages to wade
through, so I hope I can get a bit of leniency for that). 
Incidentally, email for the seul-edu mailing list must come from
a subscribed address, so if you subscribed with an address
different than the one you post from, you won't be able to post
directly to the list.  This is done to prevent spammers from
inundating the list with trash.
