There is an irc.openprojects.net IRC net - I think it's good idea
to gateway there, as its the place open source and Linux fans

Some helpful irc-bots are there from time to time to answer FAQSs
and decipher abbreviations. IRC is cool place, I hope it will
remain hot ;-) and unchallenged by web-chats.
However, I am not on irc any more :-(
And I also have doubts that irc is really useful for constant software
development. I think, it is much better to have called meetings
to solve ideas in online fashion that to hang on irc all the time.
