Is linuxconf any good?
I have seen an old Slackware box that had linuxconf installed.

Using it you could log in as admin and you would be placed in a menu,
where you could add/remove users, play with ppp and other interesting
things. I'll have a play with it tomorrow.

It is rather outdated I expect, as the Slackware was an old 95/96 version,
but it could be useful for newbie users.

One thing I hated : it took away adduser for the root user, you HAD to
use admin for admin tasks.

I don't know where it came from, there is a linuxconf.tar.gz in a dir on
the box, I could try installing it on one of my own systems.
