What 3Dfx card are you running? Do you have a libGL.so somewhere on your
system? Do you have your cross-over cable correctly set-up? Does
test3Dfx works correctly?

BTW, it is Glide, not glIDE or GLide. This library has no relation
whatsoever with OpenGL, it is the name of the 3Dfx drivers (basically).
