CS results on Console and X

Ok I finally ran those tests.  I did them in the perf.zip world with the perftest console command
in Crystal Space's Walktest.

Machine:
133mhz
48 mg RAM
S3 Virge DX 4mg video-NO ACCELERATION SETUP(not even sure if it would help from what you guys have
said)

Software:
Debian 2.1
Kernel 2.2.9?
WindowMaker
Svgalib2d

Ok.  Drum role please.

Console:
15.5 Seconds to Render 100 frames
XWindow:
15.97 Seconds to Render 100 frames


Also someone(bad with rememberuing names) suggested usleep(1) and sleep(0) every frame for speed. 
I was wondeirng how that was supposed to help.  I tried it in my program and saw a drop in fraem
rates.  Did I do it wrong?  Is there a specific p;ace to put it(like before key handle, before
other clacs, before screen drawn)?
