But you don't need the sources to do quite a bit of clever cheating. This is
*NOT* only a problem for OpenSource games and OS's (although it's clearly a LOT
easier to hack games for which you have sources).
If you have the sources to a DLL/.so library then you can do some interesting things -
and even if you don't, you can 'interpose' code of your own between the game and the
DLL/.so library.
