There have been *endless* discussions on this on OPENGL-GAMEDEV and
gdalgorithms - and the conclusion is always the same. Even with closed
source games, it's completely impossible to stop determined cheaters -
and pretty damned difficult to stop even casual ones. With OpenSourced
games, you are screwed.
I don't think that developers are unconcerned - but in the face of
something you can do little or nothing about - what are you supposed
to say?
I don't think we should rehash the technical details of the discussions -
check the archives of those two lists before you imagine you have some
wonderous fix for the problem.
