Update:

It seems to be impossible to submit an editorial to Freshmeat without
logging in - which in turn is impossible with cookies disabled. And as my
junkbuster blocks all cookies, well, you know. And I generally have
problems figuring out how things work at Freshmeat - is there some "about"
page???

Anyway, any objections against having the announcement text as slashdot
editorial plus a note on freshmeat?
