Because I strongly dislike those distributions who use "we have so much packages/CDs
in distibution" as a selling point, specially if when you look at them you notice
much of this software is second class or unmantained.   I consider this is
demagogics and not so good for Linux.  Since Indy is suupposed to be a honest
distribution it means software has to have a good reason to be included like it is
the best in its class, it is the best in its ecological niche (for instance if it is
nice to have on small boxes) or it has many people using it so not including it
would harm many people.

In addition I remeber ending installation of one of those distribs with a big
headacche after having to sort through 10 versions of evrything: ie redundant
software is useless.
