I meant I don't Disagree with you.

When Indy was started several things were considered to be acceptable
for the distribution and some things were to be rejected. I.e.
StarOffice was acceptable if they will allow us to ship it. Closed
source but still a full functional program. Despite making Linux look
slow. WordPerfect false into the same category ( though not slow ) as
dose Netscape.

Not accepted were crippled programs that need to be registered for full
functionality. ShareWare DOOM doesn't fall into this category since it
works perfectly and lacks only some extra levels. This is analogues to
a PC with 16 megs and then selling extra RAM.

Cripleware is like selling a PC with no RAM that you can either use to
block the door or "upgrade". Therefore it depends on how crippled
Blender is. If everything works but some advanced features are only
in the full release, OK. If it pops up a "You need to register this
software" message then it should be out.
