I'm trying to forward this request for help from my son dictated over
the phone cause he can't access his CD/boot disks and wants to download
Independence to his HD or maybe floopies if absolutely necessary. He's
one of those 'youngers who wants to grow up with Linux-guys'. Here it is:
"When installing from the boot and supplementary disks why does the
install program assume that it can access the independence site without
needing a dial-up connection? It should ask if user on a network and if
not then ask for info so it can dial user I.S.P. and then go to the F.T.P.
site once it's connected. Are there any installations that do that?
