Help with Enlightenment please!

One of my co-workers has a problem:

"Just got back into running RedHat (5.1) and installed Enlightenment window 
manager (DR 0.14...might upgrade to 0.15).  Kickass, but it took some 
library updates to get it to work.  Now half my stuff is hosed (like Gimp, 
Gnome, Control Panel) due to wrong lib versions and bad entry 
points.  Ideas?  I love E (if only some other platforms looked and worked 
like that) but would like to have a happy and functioning system."

Anyone got any good ideas?
