How that plan get's done (KDE, Gnome, console UIs of various sorts, ...)
I don't care.

A car that requires tinkering before being able to drive it off the lot
is -not- the same as a car that -allows- tinkering/souping up
once you get it home.

Getting Indy/whatever installed and usable should not require tinkering.
But it should be made easy to -allow- tinkering -after- installation for
those who later wish/need to do so.
